This Argonaut Supernaut RM3 is a test / display bike that was recently set up by us with an intent to allow keen riders to have a test ride but also to view the machine in person. Based in Bend, Oregon, United States, Argonaut Cycles has previously not partnered with any bicycle shop here in Singapore and keen buyers of the bespoke carbon frame manufacturer can now rejoice. Cycle Project Store is now a dealer!  The well known carbon bespoke company was founded by Ben Farver who saw limitless potential for carbon framebuilding. With his foundation in steel frameb ..read more

WeiJie's Bonanno Futomaki

Rim brakes builds have been decreasing since the past two years, but we would like to think that they ride differently compared to a disc brake bike. They are also less problematic when it comes to preparing your bike for an overseas trip or troubleshooting issues while on the road. What we have here is a beautiful Cicli Bonanno nicely done up with curated parts by the owner. We managed to dig out the story behind his choice of builder and why such a build! CPS : Why a steel build? WeiJie : Although I have owned several carbon and aluminium bikes over the years, I have never ow ..read more

Jason's Parlee Z5 SL
Cycle Project Store Blog
by Sherwin Ng

Jason first brought in his old Z5 SL to have a better understanding on our restoration and paintwork services. The Parlee was eventually left in the store after the discussion to proceed with the restoration as Jason was very steadfast in his decision.   The Parlee has had some scratches and was put to very good usage by Jason which he had very fond memories of and feel a bond with it.   The Z5 SL was originally a blackout paint design with the logo artwork on the bike pretty much camouflaged with the framebody colour.   We quizzed Jason on his rationale beh ..read more

Diann's Repete Verne

One of the most unique Repete that ever left our workshop. An interesting colourway of choice by the charming owner, we caught up with Diann who shared her story on her decisions that led her towards her Repete Verne! CPS : Why Repete?   Diann :  Repete was first introduced to me in 2019 during a visit to Australia by my cousin Aaron (IG: @cloudchasers), when we spent hours talking about bike builds, coffee and life. I started snooping around Repete’s Instagram account and found out that they just launched a design back then. I fell in love with the new refreshed look. Th ..read more

Ghin's Legor Porreca Disc
Cycle Project Store Blog

We gave the owner of this Legor a questionnaire and are very excited to share his story!   CPS: Why Legor? Ghin : Long story summarised - ended up on a gravel race / bikepacking trip with CPS mechanic Joshua Tang, and he noticed the Kona Rove ST (steel) I was on. Bit of a "swiss army knife" bike that tips the scales at a feathery 11.5kg (!!!) We ended up chatting about bike frames, steel as a material, and he said "Have you heard of Mattia Paganotti and Legor Cicli? We just got a few frames in, come by and check it out."  The name sounded familiar and upon some googling, sa ..read more

Mervyn's Legor Nuiorskiti in Strappato Paintwork
Cycle Project Store Blog

This Nuiorskiti was originally an extra frame done by Legor when he was completing two frame orders of ours back in 2022.   Given the chance to purchase the frameset while it was not painted yet, we told Mattia who helms Legor, to paint it in one of his iconic colour design (Strappato) in a colour palette he deemed fit.   The outcome was a frameset that was very pleasing to the eyes.     The owner of this Nuiorskiti chanced upon this Legor when visiting our store and shared it with his riding buddies. The decision to purchase it was largely due to one of his ridin ..read more

This was a special project for our partnered fitter! He was searching for a steel commuter for his grocery shopping, neighbourhood exploration rides while at the same time, wanted his own geometry to achieve certain ride characteristics. Enter Cicli Bonanno, a bespoke brand based in Berlin, Germany. Niccolo Bonanno, the main builder and person behind the brand, is known for his frame building skills where his works are shaped by Italian masters such as Dario Pegoretti.  It was a new request to Niccolo as his works have been mainly concentrated in the road and gra ..read more

Jeff's Standert Umlaufbahm

Jeff wrote to us months back about the possibility of importing a Standert Umlaufbahm in Space Black colourway for his new project. While on the hunt of a new bike prior to his return to Singapore, he  chanced upon this Standert Umlaufbahm. What caught his eye was the space black colourway as well as the choice of materials that was used for the construction of the frameset. Jeff pieced it up with some parts that he bought while he was in Taiwan, mainly from the people at Faith Fixed Gear in Taipei. We got in touch with Maxe from Standert and was very delighted to be able to purchase the ..read more

Roy's Engine 11 Steeze
Cycle Project Store Blog

Roy was looking for a steel bike and chanced upon the Steeze by Engine 11. He saw the complete build on our listing and was wondering if he is able to make some tweaks to the build that is available on our website. Roy ended up going with the Shimano 105 groupset and Hplusson Archetype wheelset to DT Swiss 350. To match the whole build, Roy had it built with shimano seatpost, handlebar and stem along with Shimano Pro Stealth saddle such that the whole bike will match the components and such. As Steeze wordings are in yellow, the zaffiro yellow tires were chosen to match the whole bike. Now tha ..read more
