Hi, has anyone been able to get pin code from famous 8690720 CEM? I have one here that will not crack. i tried 4-5 times, always comes up with different first 3 sets, and than just fails to crack. I have another one 30765015, cracked 1st try. EDIT: was able to read it with P1 fork, quick too. Statistics: Posted by TonyToronto — Sat Nov 25, 2023 4:05 am ..read more

Others may chime in but I always start loading the parts cannon with the cheapest stuff first. Based on the comment I’d drain and fill the transmission fluid with the proper stuff and see if there is improvement. Statistics: Posted by Krons — Thu Nov 23, 2023 11:21 am ..read more

Hi, everyone! Much obliged to all of you. Aui is the name (Maui without the "M") a newly accepted member - thank you, sir Matthew! I received this 2008 XC90 4.4 V8 Sport @ 150143mi as a gift. Recent tranny flush and fill in October this year, but, I dont think the shop used a genuine ATF - Just to make it apparent for everyone My friend (second owner) decided to not deal with her anymore, so they gave me their beloved car and I liked it instantly! Now, what's happening is I'd feel/hear a clunk every now and then while accelerating at slow speed up to 40ish mph. Same thing when decelerating to ..read more

When using this seed/key security protocol there are 65536 pin codes that will give the same key for the received seed. The pin number found with the cracker is not the same as stored in the CEM, but will result in the same key and therefore unlock the CEM. The pin in the CEM is all numbers. Good Evening Everyone, Im currently taking the task for repairing the balance shaft bearing that exploded on the 2005 xc90 v8. I have everything currently broken down thanks to the wonderful instructions from OP and VIDA, but i am faced with a few issues for re-assembly that have put that brakes on my work. 1st. The Balance shaft is a bit worse for wear, since it spun inside the bearing while it was seized. I had a machine shop do their best with the damaged the contact surface where the replacement bearing is supposed to sit and level everything out, but realistically i would prefer to repl ..read more

Follow up question here... As I have the intake all apart (again), I see a lot of oil in there. It looks like it's coming in through the PCV valve, and entering the upper plenum from there. I have been noticing higher oil consumption with the car, ~ 1/2 quart every 2500 miles - not terrible, but enough to consistently trigger the "oil level low" warning between oil changes. I'm contemplating replacing the PCV valve, it's got ~67k miles on it, which is not high but not new. Any thoughts on what would cause a lot of oil to come through the PCV valve and into the intake manifold? Anything else ..read more

I messed up and took off the timing belt without putting marks on the cam gears :,( I saw your thread on doing cam seals and lined up the two rear sides of the cams like you had pictured when the tab broke off. My cams are both close to where I believe they were but the adjustable part of my exhaust and intake cam gears are not in the center (cam gears appear to be adjusted) the belt isn’t lined up with the teeth when the cams are lined up in the rear (don’t have locking tool but used marks on the cam position sensor trigger) I guess my main question would be do I need to advance/retard each ..read more
