The government’s budget announcement of an increased infrastructure investment to $71b over five years has potential to deliver results, but civil contractors say the investment must come with more certainty around the work programme ahead and focus on the work at hand. A new era of how road work sites are managed has arrived with the release of the New Zealand Guide to Temporary Traffic Management, which sets out how road work sites should be managed, replacing the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management.
