Boat won’t stay running. Cranks and fires, but immediately dies. Tried applying some throttle. Still won’t stay running. Seems like the fuel pumps are activating when I turn on the key, but not getting any pressure on the high side. Don’t have the adapter to check the low side. Been talking with a lot of people and everyone has some suggestions as to what to check. One guy said it might be the oil pressure switch. Seems like something is telling it not to start. I have a 1987 Sunrunner 20' boat with a DP-290 outdrive. The engine that was in the boat when I got it was a Mercury 5.0, 305 with a cracked block. What engine model should I search for AQxxx when looking for instructions. I am trying to figure out how to align the engine and outdrive. Hello all, I currently own a 96 Volvo penta with a sx cobra 1.66 outdrive and it is powered by a 5.0fl v8. The other day when I was out on the lake it started to make this grinding swirling sound when I put it in fwd or reverse gear and it would get a bit louder and vibrate when at cruising speeds and will go away at higher speeds. Hello everyone, I have taken over a project that I could really use some help with. The boat is a 2011 with a pair of 5.7's and the EVC-C3 system with electronic steering Engine Serial Numbers A112918 and A112917 The previous shop was trying to fix a steering issue and replaced the SCU.
