Custom AR15 failure to feed

I built a 300 blackout AR pistol with an 8.3 inch barrel using parts mostly from aero precision with the exception of the barrel, gas block, and gas tube which I got from ballistic advantage. The gun works great with lighter bullets (100-150 grain) but when I put 200+ grain subsonic rounds in, it will fire the first round, eject the casing and go back into battery without feeding the next round. I’m not sure if this is something that can be fixed with a different buffer weight or adjustable... Custom AR15 failure to feed ..read more

I was bored, so I built a new front shooting rest

I've been using a Caldwell Rock front rifle rest for decades. It works great, but I just wanted something different without spending much money. There are plenty of custom front rest out there that can cost up to $4k, they are pretty, but I just can't see spending that kind of money on a rifle rest. So, One night at work I asked one of the young guy's if he'd look and see if we had any 1/2" plate around 12" in diameter in the scrap dumpster. He came back in the shop with a piece that was... Part 1) I posted that I was going to try my hand at making some magazines on Reddit. I asked if anyone had prints/drawings for metric FAL mags. Of course, no one did. But, they provided me with some great suggestions of where to look or who to ask. I have given up on finding prints for the time being and have decided to start making the forms from some scrap steel I have. It's... Which forum: DIY or FAL? Anyone know of computer programs that can be used for gun design? It would be cool to play around with it in my opinion. I seen people put of plans for an ar-15 and change it around a little bit for a different style and I thought this would be a lot of fun to do. They were able to hook it up to a cnc machine and actually make it. I would like to have that capability in case I get the chance to be able to make it one day I dont know too much about programs that are out there so if any of... Created a custom red dot mount for a project and need a CNC shop to fabricate it. Would prefer a smaller shop that I could communicate with and make sure all my requirements are met and the mount is manufactured to my specs. I have the step file and I have done several 3D printed models to get it 99% finished. Just need a smaller shop to review the file and make sure everything is correct before being manufactured. Thanks ..read more
