Artist Katie Southworth has released her new collection, “Unseen Light”. The collection, created during Southworth’s month-long residency in south Florida, pays homage to the aspects of the natural world that often go unseen by the naked eye. Through the use of vibrant colors and inventive new styles, the artist makes the invisible, visible. On Friday, November 5, contemporary artist, Katie Southworth, celebrated the opening night of her first solo exhibition. The month-long solo show, displayed at New Canaan Gallery and Frame in New Canaan, Connecticut, featured Southworth’s new body of work, “Colorjoy”. Four of artist Katie Southworth’s paintings were featured at the inaugural Darien Alumni Art Show (DAAS) from June 11 through June 13. The works exhibited were “Clarity” and “Bask,” of her Flocean Series, “Sea Skies,” of her Antichromaphobia Series, and “World Peace". Of these paintings, “Sea Skies,” sold at the show; “Bask” has since sold, and “Clarity” remains for sale on her website. From September 15 to September 18, Boston-based artist Katie Southworth displayed five original pieces at the Superfine Art Fair. The exhibition, held in New York City’s Lower East Side, showcased the work of over 100 artists and garnered over 2,000 guests.
