Maybe I should buy the 5??? Did they add a good hammond sound? can you run drum beats alone so you can play with them? (I always though it was a little flaky the way they divided the keyboard into 4 parts) Thanks in advance ..read more

Hi all. My wife and I have 3 Juno DS boards. She has the DS88 (8 yrs now) and DS76, I got her DS61 hand me down when she recently got the 76. She plays both boards live, and she also has the Ax-Edge. We got that right before Covid hit. Anyway I'm using the DS61 for my Tears For Fears tribute band. I found a great sound for some of the Tears For Fears parts but I need it to sustain fully when holding the key down or the pedal. It's Sy:S20 Sugar Keys. It decays and does not sustain even with... I am a rock keyboardist who recently got back into live performance. I rented, then bought a Juno DS, which I feel has adequate action and very good sounds/patch combinations for the music that I like playing. I have used this mostly in jam sessions, but now I am playing gigs. I also purchased a Korg Kronos and Studiologic 88 controller on advice from a touring pro. I have gotten used to the Roland however and I have recently connected it to the SL 88 through a MIDI 5 pin connector. This... Read more ..read more

I can't get my FP-E50 to even recognize the file on my flash drive. I formatted the drive 1st and then used it to install the firmware update so I'm pretty sure the drive is good. But my keyboard does not recognize the .exz file on my flash drive. How do I get this wave expansion pack installed that I purchased from the Roland Cloud ..read more

Dissapointed with the Roland BK9 supernatural piano sound

I have persevered with the Roland BK9 for about 6 months now. Tried allsorts to get a decent piano sound from it and basically, it's terrible. It reminds me of cheap plastic! Other sounds are not bad, styles are pretty good and overall usablility is a bit fiddly, as with all Roland keyboards. Piano is my main instrument and I thought the supernatural piano would be much better than it is. None of the piano tones sound good. My son has a cheap Casio and the defualt piano on that sounds better... Read more ..read more
