A little background: I was born in Costa Rica in 1999 to two US citizens. I was brought back to the States when I was only a few months old and only went back on a school trip in high school. For some reason I never fully looked into my citizenship status until recently, but of course most research I tried to do just gave me outdated or irrelevant information pertaining to children born after 2000.
