I'm on a mission! There is a bill to legalize these guys again. Please email representative Kulik and tell her to bring HB567 to a vote and to vote YES!

Help! I’m at my last resorts, at a final choice. Looking for any leads…
TW: mention of euthanasia.
Background: I live in Wisconsin, I rescued a 9 year old chinchilla from our local shelter, knowing nothing about them. And putting in EVERYTHING. I fell in love. Now Wisconsin has like NO (good) exotic vets, and if you know of any let me know. I’ll travel across the state right now…
I’ve called every vet asking for advice and help, they all point me to this one…and I don’t trust...

Hi everyone,
I recently ordered some chin goods from Etsy. Their search function is not great, unfortunately, so would love to hear any recommendations for shops for chinchilla supplies (bedding, housing, toys, treats, etc.) Some of my favorites:
MeowChin: https://www.etsy.com/shop/MeowChin
Really high quality, hand-crafted wood and (hallelujah!) metal cage accessories. One of our boys pees everywhere, so wood doesn't last very long. Some of the metal stuff is expensive, but in the...

I'm going to keep this simple.
How the heck do I remove spiders in a safe way? I thought about diluted essential oils, but everywhere I read said that this was not safe. One way that everyone seemed to agree was safe, was diatomaceous earth, as long as they didn't breathe any in.
My room is infested with them, and it is the residence of my chins. It isn't usually a problem until they touch me, and I've had enough. Any help would be wonderful, and hopefully it will also be safe for other...

My chinchilla died. He was 15 years old but appeared healthy and not in distress prior to finding him dead. As I was looking him over to see if there were signs of injury or any clues about what happened, I found this sticking out of his penis. Can anyone explain what this is? It has the spongy texture of tissue. The thin end was inside of him and the rest where it gets wider was sticking out of the urethra. I think that he died because he couldn't urinate ..read more

Hello!
First, thank you for approving me and sorry that my first topic is already an very important one
My female Chinchilla gave birth to two Chinchilla Kits and they are 12 days old now. One of them (Milky) weights already 77g, while the other, smaller one (Lemon) only has 52g on the scale. I‘m very worried about Lemon, because I could just find the information that newborn Chins have a Weight between 30-60g, not a recommended weight for 1 week and above and I‘m not sure whether Lemon...

Hey all, I have two sweet and curious bonded boys, age 7, who I am hoping to rehome in Portland, OR (or nearby). Unfortunately, I simply travel too much and have severe asthma, which has made keeping them very difficult for me and not ideal for them. I have everything a prospective owner would need and happy to give it with them ..read more
