Hi, I just picked up a JVC VHS-C Camcorder (GR-AXM25U, 1997). When I put in a tape, everything works great, I can record, but the camcorder shuts off in about 2 minutes. It shuts off whether I'm recording or not, and it just seems like it loses power after a certain amount of time. When there's no tape inserted, it stays on normally. I've tried the battery it came with which is an original JVC battery and I also ordered new oldstock JVC battery but that doesn't seem to change anything. Hello, I have a DCR-TRV520e PAL and I use firewire to connect the Digital8 camcorder to my Macbook Air in order to digitally record hi8 tapes. As seen below in the video, the recording has horizontal lines across it when playing on the camcorder. At times, statis covers the whole frame. I have tried taking out the battery and trying again, I have also tried rewinding to the start, yet the issue persists. Ordered a TRV-240E for myself as a birthday gift to digitize tape from all my analog camcorders. Came home to it displaying errors. Took it apart and found the pinch roller. Cam works fine except for this issue.Thank god my seller is helping me at least a little bit. Do you guys have any tips for attaching it back? It looks like the white little locknut got lost or cracked. It also writes "PAL" next to the model on the side (not the sticker). Anyone else have issues with their Powerplay killing batteries? I have the recommended batteries from their site but if left in the Powerplay when off they drain to 0% and have now even killed one battery to not charging at all.
