Hi!
Got some Indian Stick Insect eggs and the first few are starting to hatch. At first I gave them a small amount ivy, then a little bit privet, and they really don't seem to be interested in either, they'll just sit on the leaf or stick and not move or eat or anything. I'm a chronic worrier so I can't help but be concerned that they aren't eating, but they're literally 3-4 days old so are they even supposed to be noticably eating this early?
I've heard that they can chomp on the outer...

Does anyone know why the common pink toe has become hard to get in recent years, especially ones of sexable sizes? This used to be one of the staple beginners' t's, regularly available from any shop that sold exotic pets, as well as online. But recently no one has had any, nor can they explain why. Some have suggested they are seasonal imports, but they never used to be? Plus they are breedable in captivity. The very few sources that have any want £70+ for a sexed female, but Spider Shop...

Just had a quick look at my Ts before I go out and a sub adult chile had a drop of what looked water in a big drip coming from it's mouth. I moved the tank to get a better look but it dropped off. It has not been near its water dish and has been sat on the cork bark all day. Can anyone tell tell me what it is? I don't think it's hemolymph but I'm still concerned all the same ..read more

Hi all,
Just wondered what peoples experiences are with raising an OBT from a sling. Ive read all the care sheets but just wondered what the "true" story is. Will he/she grow fast.... if it bites me when its young will it be as bad as "they" say..... how often should I feed it etc etc...
I know everyone has there own ideas and interpretations of care sheets so just wanted to know from an OBT keeper how they have raised theirs.
When it first arrived to me and I transferred him/her into...

Hi all!
I was lucky to get myself a pair of lichen morph spectres at a bug show a couple of weeks ago. I’m loving caring for them.
My husband and I would like to create a bioactive set up for them. They’re only L2 nymphs right now in a smaller house, and we have a larger tank/viv to move them to eventually. We plan to increase our collection too.
Anyway. My questions being - They eat eucalyptus and bramble - can I safely put other plants in for aesthetic purposes? Can they be kept on...

Hiya, I'm travelling to an event for school children next month and I'm taking my Olive Millipede to show. I need her to be easily accessible/visible for the children so her normal tank (10cm+ of soil) won't be suitable.
I don't want to jeopardize his welfare but I need a slightly different solution to his normal tank.
Please could I have some suggestions as to what i should do?

I have a Giant Chocolate Desert millipede and I keep it in an plastic enclosure with a mesh top, is it to much ventilation?
I give it dried disinfected magnolia leaves i get from my backyard with no pesticides, I offer cucumber, spinach and banana daily and he doesn't seem to touch it or be eating it. I also noticed very small white mites and i read they help clean and provide a mutualistic relationship, is this true or do i need to get rid of them ..read more
