Walmart Wagyu is most likely 50% actual Wagyu (or a little less) mixed with Angus cattle (American Wagyu). It’s obvious that the same care doesn’t go into the "Japanese cow" that are sold at big retail companies. For example, Fellers Ranch® has never had to recall 120,000 lbs of beef, due to E.Coli, gross! Yes, that actually happened at the start of 2022, a lot of producers for major supermarket companies had to recall 120,872 POUNDS of ground beef, including the Wagyu!
