Hello,
I have a 9 month old puppy. We have been taking her to training classes and practicing at home but something’s missing. She’s recently been developing some naughty behaviors. When going out to go potty, she does whatever she wants, sometimes she just sits there and will not budge, no amount of calling will make her move, I have to pick her up and then set her back down and she often forgets she was sitting. She also pulls on the leash in one direction when I want her to go the other way. The only solution has been to walk over and pick her up, pretty easy considering she is so light bu ..read more

I have an 8 &1/2 month old Purebred Pitbull Puppy. He will be 9 months on June 2nd. He is a service dog in training. Comes from a long line of service dogs. Being trained in Medical Alert. Too many issues and rude comments to ask in Service Dogs, so asking here. Working with a private trainer, a service dog program, and at home/virtual training. All that is going perfect. So far everything is going better than expected. Couldn't ask for a better pup. Does great with public access, ignores other dogs even if they bark, no dog aggression, plays with other dogs after class etc. He's not perf ..read more

I have a roughly 4 month old chihuahua puppy who loves to play bite my hand and arms. Its never very hard but he does growl while playing. Also, he never does it to my other family members, only to me. Is it alright if I keep playing with him like this?
Thanks :)

Need help/tips! Moving for the first time with my two dogs
Just as the title reads, I am a 27-year-old female with two pit bulls (both M, 10y and 7y) that has always lived in the quiet country area and will soon be moving in with my boyfriend and his cat to the city of Pittsburgh in the early month of July. For as long as I can remember, it’s always been just my dogs and myself. I have been commuting about an hour to my boyfriend, boyfriend and vice versa for the last year and we feel it is now the right time to move in with one another. He loves my dogs and my dogs love him.
Unfortunately, m ..read more

Could somebody explain me why is so normal in some countries to have dogs sleeping in cages or kennels and keeping them there for x amount of time? I remember going to USA and I saw this and really caught my attention.

Let me explain:
Lets say I need to leave at noon. If I put him in his crate at 11:30 while I get dressed and stuff, and turn on his "calming dog music". By the time I leave the house at noon he's perfectly fine. However, I must leave and not return, if god forbid I forgot something and go back in, then he'll be barking when I leave the house again.
If we do not go through that ritual he's barking up a storm. If I don't have time to do that and I need to leave immediately (seldom happens, but I had an emergency the other week), he was barking for the entire two hours I was gone.
Further, laund ..read more

Hi everyone, I need some advice. I have a 12-month-old female Samoyed who is generally well-trained. She knows how to walk in a structured manner and heels nicely. However, whenever someone else joins us on our walks, she starts trying to get in front of me, pulls on the leash, and ignores most of my commands. It's as if she's in a different mindset, thinking, "I can do what I want now that you're paying attention to someone else, and I want to get to things faster."
She's not jealous; she's just very friendly and has a high drive. I've tried different approaches: having the person ignore her ..read more

Have been having issues using my dogtra IQ because I don’t think it’s consistently delivering a stim, which has had me thinking I’m at too low of a level, and then accidentally going a bit too high. She’s well groomed so her coat isn’t impacted, but she does have a lot of fluff. Will this help me get a stim every time I press the button? Thanks!
