My dog refuses to poop outside since we moved house. He will only poop inside our house and I have spent the last two months cleaning his poops and wees out of our rented furnishings. I've tried re-training him as he was fully toilet trained before we moved house but so far it's futile. I feel I'm at a dead end and I can't even be happy around him anymore ..read more

Hi Sorry for long post but I desperately need some help with a few issues I have a schitzu/toy poodle cross called Buddy who is almost 10. He was my late husbands dog and he worked from home so was mostly around with the dog. Buddy was never properly housetrained, I left that to my husband as I’m not a doggy person I have a cat. Buddy would go out of the cat flap if he needed to use the garden but would also pee in the house too. In addition he would bark like crazy any time the doorbell... Dogs anxiety is getting worse

Hi everyone, I've got a 2 year old patterdale terrier, at home he's happy, content and his usual self. About a year ago he started to become anxious going on walks, he's had a few dogs off lead approach him quite excitedly which I think spooked him. Since then he's fearful of any other dogs approaching and if he sees a dog in the distance he either freezes or tries to avoid. it's really sad seeing this, as when he was a puppy he was so playful with other dogs when it was controlled and... Hello, I was wondering if anybody could give any advice regarding my dog barking at foxes at night. Now that the weather is getting nicer, we're starting to need the windows open at night, however my local area is notorious for having tonnes of foxes, and they can be very noisy at night. When Scamp hears the foxes he starts barking. At first we tried to tell him off for barking, but instead he whimpers and comes to us to seek reassurance, so I think the noises are making him quite... Loose lead walking for high energy/hunting dogs

I thought I'd flag this here in case it is of interest to anyone else. Simone Mueller (who wrote the predation substitute training book) has just bought out a related book on loose lead walking, particularly aimed at high drive, hunting dogs. I bought a copy as this is still something I struggle with with my GSP - she is pretty good on our usual routes but if I take her anywhere new/exciting then she reverts back to the eyes on stalks/pulling like a train which is no fun for either of us... Puppy biting, advice needed ??

hi, I’m a new puppy owner to a 3 month old labradoodle spaniel mix and I would appreciate some thoughts on a behaviour she has displayed. 1st time we were in the park, she ran up to a family to say hello and the kids started screaming and running. My puppy remained fairly calm (some playful barking and lots of tail wagging) and one of the adults crouched down to say hello. I then came up and took her (not roughly) by the harness to move her away as the kids were scared and she just went for... Puppy biting, advice needed ..read more

Its not for me, but a friend of mine has a 9 mths old labrador, its her first dog so she's not very experienced. Apparently hes started barking at people on walks, not everyone or just men or women, just random barking. He pulls towards them, jes not aggressive at all, bit it obviously looks like he is to strangers. Shes really worried that someone will report her for having a dangerous dog. I cant think why he would be doing this, but then im not a dog trainer. Wondered if he's... Barking at people on walks ..read more

Disheartened, please help. My 2 years old cockapoo growls and lunges on other dogs more often now, rather random and unpredictable which and what kinds of dogs trigger him. He did that before and does after being neutered. There were days where - he could be fine walking and playing off lead without any trouble, or he could react to only some dogs on the walk, or nearly every dog he bumps into. We checked with the vet he doesn’t seem to have health or pain issue, we changed his diet, we... Random growling and lunging ..read more
