The Newspapers 24/7 2024 data reports that 84% of Ontario adults read a newspaper weekly. Readers regularly interact with their newspapers in many different formats across all regions. Four out of five people in Canada (81%) read newspapers, regardless of format, at least once a week—essentially unchanged from the inaugural study (85%), conducted in 2012.  Despite a multitude of media options and digital distractions, readers still turn to trusted news sources.
