I bought a newer truck a 2013 ram quad 1500 Big horn. I did have a 2004 ram quad with the fisher plow and worked great for 8 years never had a problem. 2004 truck did sit higher by about 2 inches in the front. It just grazes the ground on the driveway incline after passing backing out or driving in. The 2013 truck is much closer to the ground and the plow frame just grazes my driveway when i travel up and back out. Bonehead move here. The first year I had my snow we had several unusual powder snows in our area. Its usually heavy and wet or similar. So I installed a 6" piece of rubber the length of the blade to keep snow from blowing over the top blocking my windshield. I just drilled a few holes and bolted it in place. Then to top it off the one thing I had not done was rinse/wash the blade at the end of the season. Hi, I have a Fisher 2008 7'6" HD straight blade with a Fish Stik controller. Lately the Fish Stik will sometimes work and other times it won't, when it doesn't, all I get is an audible "click" of the solenoid and the power light on the Fish Stik goes off, and will not power the plow. I have checked the power harness to the motor and the solenoid voltages, solenoid is getting 12 volts but no action from the controller. Has anyone mounted a V plow to the front of their tractor? Not on the loader arms but right on the tractor frame?
