Time for World Vape Day 2024 – this year it is to be held on 30th May! The theme for this year’s World Vape Day is the “Misperception Epidemic”. In my previous article I reported how most of the world views vaping as a similar or higher risk to smoking. A new global survey has highlighted the world misperception regarding vaping v smoking risks. The survey was conducted by Ipsos and We Are Innovation and 27,000 people who smoke in 28 countries participated. Survey Findings Shockingly 74% of all those polled believe that Vaping is either as harmful or more harmful than smoking cigarettes. The 2024 ASH UK Survey on vaping results have been published. However you may view the ASH (Action on Smoking & Health) UK organisation, I do enjoy seeing statistics which accurately reflect what is happening with actual consumers. ASH have collected this data since 2013 so it provides a great insight into the vaping and smoking habits of the UK. The data makes their current restrictive stance on vaping seem unnecessary! Due to the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announcing a general election on July 4th it means some of the proposed legislation has had to be pushed aside.
