These Volunteer Park engagement portraits with Ellen & Cameron are filled with light. I have to admit, I think when I met Ellen, the first words out of my mouth were “I love your hair!”. But after getting to know her and Cameron a bit more, I can say they are as cool as they look. Both Ellen and Cameron are graduates of Georgia Tech. In fact, the very day they moved into their dorms, was the first time they met in person. You see, they had been chatting for a bit via social media the summer before college. So they finally agreed to meet in person. They didn’t really have a first official d ..read more

Working with Kat and David on their Volunteer Park Observatory Engagement photos was such a joy. I love to connect with my couples ahead of their wedding day. In fact, connecting with my couples is one of the cornerstones of my brand. One of the things most important about forming that connection is working with them on an engagement session. Kat and David are located in Portland, so I knew it would take a bit of advance planning to make their session happen ahead of their wedding. At one point, I was in Portland myself and reached out hoping they would be available to schedule their engagemen ..read more

Steph and Lauren’s wedding at The Corson Building in Seattle was a beautiful Sunday night celebration. Their wedding was a testament to the love they share, forged through friendship, filled with intentionality, and encased in unique aspects that drew elements from their personalities. To watch a couple come together in love is always such a blessing. But to witness, firsthand, a couple who above all else are truly best friends, come together in marriage, is a moment I will never take for granted. I first shared a bit about Steph and Lauren’s story back when I blogged about their engagement se ..read more

Alex and Jermaine were married in an incredibly emotional Novelty Hill-Januik Winery Wedding! Two CBC associates, Alexandra and Justin, were on hand to capture every magic moment of Alex & Jermaine becoming husband and wife. The bride and groom enlisted the help of Bubbly Soiree to assist them in planning and managing their best day ever. And Bubbly Soiree curated a beautifully unique wedding day befitting Alex and Jermaine’s love story! One of the first questions I typically ask my couples is “How did you meet and fall in love?”. And for Alex and Jermaine, it was the shared hobby of bodyb ..read more

I spent a beautiful weekend in San Clemente photographing Joanna & Donald’s wedding at San Clemente Shore by Wedgewood Weddings. This was a destination wedding for CBC, and one thing is for sure about my approach to capturing destination weddings. I like to be fully present for my couples! And that means arriving two to three days before their wedding. This allows me time to scout surrounding areas for wedding portraits, work with my couple on their engagement session, and familiarize myself with the venue. I had previously met Joanna and Donald when I was hosting a round of mini-sessions ..read more

As a Seattle Wedding Photographer, I love having the opportunity to look back over the year to see what has come my way. Last year, when I reflected on 2022, I said that the approach for the year was gratitude. It’s safe to say, that hasn’t changed! In fact, I’ve come to realize that gratitude is one of my core values. Not just as a brand, but as a mom, friend, and colleague.  One of the venues we had the pleasure of working at during 2023 includes Ray’s Boathouse, where Marico & Chris were married. It’s a beautiful waterfront venue, and perfect for an intimate wedding in Seattle! I ..read more

Whitney and Reidar are such an amazing couple and I was so excited to capture every moment of their colorful wedding in Arlington Washington! I met Whitney and Reidar in a very busy season of life. You might be wondering how two recent law school graduates managed to plan such a beautiful wedding, and I’ll let you in on one smal ..read more

This sweet couple dated each other all the way back in high school, can you believe that?! After high school, their relationship side of things took a bit of a break, while they remained close friends. Bri + Bobby’s Fireseed Catering Wedding was an epic day of celebration, at a gorgeous outdoorsy wedding venue on Whidbey Island! My associate team was present to capture the details of their wedding at Fireseed Catering, but I just knew it was going to be an amazing day!
