Hi everyone, first time going camping in my life in a few months. I'm quite nervous as we will be at least an hour away from a hospital and I sometimes have really aggressive hypoglycemia. On the flip side when I'm out in the heat my blood sugar sky rockets temporarily until I get cool again. I know I will need glucose tabs/drinks/juice and somewhere to keep my insulin cool. Thank you to everyone who replied and helped me in my last post. I (19f) have since talked w my bf (18). It took 2 talks to really get through to him. But he did understand my perspective and worry. we're taking baby steps to help him dose properly and understand his omnipod better. so, my older brother (24) is also a type one diabetic. he got diagnosed before i was born at 3. when i was younger and before my own diagnosis i faintly remember him suffering a lot of lows. I’m going to an all inclusive resort in Cabo in a few months. I’m trying to figure out what to do with my pump while hanging out at the swim up bar since that’s probably where we will spend most of our time. I don’t want to leave it lying around and would like to be able to have it on somehow while sitting there since it will double as my cgm monitor.
