Hi RC tank gurus. I am a complete newbie to RC tanks, being a heli flyer until now. I have acquired a couple of the 1/24 Heng Long Leopard tanks which have a good rage of functions but you may know are not proportional. Seeing as I have 6-channel transmitters available, I’m wondering if I might be able to convert the 1/24 Leopards to proportional by replacing the receiver/controller units with proportional ones? Can any of you make any suggestions? Ideas and particularly examples that anyone has done will be very welcome ..read more

Hello, New to building RC tanks and I have the Tamiya King Tiger 1/16 and currently having a few questions 1) on the page it says if I have a Tamiya Attack 4WD TR set I can skip that step as the photos show I have a Tamiya 4WYD can I skip or no? 2) in steps 26 the screws seems to be screwed down albeit they say to not tighten it but mine are really tight and can only go halfway down, is that how it should be? 3) Instructions are not clear on how I can test the model and make sure everything works, most notably I wanna make sure the gear boxes and stuff work Thank you Sorry for no images foru ..read more

I did up this movie to show off the new trailer lights on the Bruder trailer I kitbashed to pull behind my kitbashed semi tractor. I show off the lights near the end. Hi, I'm restarting my Tiger I Tamiya 1/16 RC model project, and have a question I hope someone is able to help with. Thanks in advance. I have previously painted the road wheels and hull with XF-60, and then flat clear coated with Tamiya TS-80 Flat Clear coat. I want to use XF-88 dark yellow 2, instead ... because I think the XF-60 turned out too dark. Am I ok to spray XF-88 over top of the TS-80 Flat Clear coat? Dave ..read more

Hi there, Long time watcher, first time poster and I've got a problem : I have a Panther 1/35 Tamiya radio control tank and all it does when I turn it on is the drive gear clicks. No drive train control or turret control. Batteries are fresh and I've checked connections, The control unit has a red light when turned on. Anyone familiar with this problem? Can the Tamiya 1/16 M1A2 Abrams lower metal hull be modified to fit and be used on the lower hull of the 1/16 Heng Long M1A2 Abrams rc tank to reinforce and strengthen the stock plastic lower hull of the Heng Long M1A2? Has anyone installed these parts that can give some guidance?
