I recently bought a 2003 that had a rebuilt motor with it, but was never installed or started. I installed everything and got all the wiring hooked up. It turns over with no issue, but won't start. After several attempts It had a small backfire when I let off the starter. I pulled the plug to check for spark and found that it only sparks when I let off the starter switch. Greetings, I'm new to raptors and trying to feel my way through them. I recently bought an '02 660 that's had some work done to it by the prev owner. I've had a few rides on it and last weekend it broke every other tooth off the rear sprocket, broke the master link clip and threw the chain (seemed a little loose before the ride). I have an 2002 raptor 660 was riding it last year and out of no where the wiring harness burned up around the cdl and solenoid. Went ahead and bought a new cdi and wiring harness installed everything and when I went to start it up nothing happens there’s no neutral light or temp light, doesn’t crank over nothing.
