Jeep Wrangler YJ 4 seater buggy. This started off as a 1989 YJ Islander. I've owned it since 2008 and had it built from stock. The only thing that is currently stock is the red sheet metal. It was professionally built by Ben Hanks Racing and Distortion Fabrication. This is built for high speed and crawling. It is very strong and reliable. All bugs worked out, it works amazing. Drivetrain- -8.1 vortec motor with tune and emissions delete, about 400hp/500tq (80k miles, out of a 2004 gmc... Read more ..read more

Hey, I just got another beater. It's a '97 TJ on tons, poorly built, but it's a start. Got it for a great price and it'll save me a lot of time to get a stock TJ to this point. I would like to put a welder in it. It'll be an alternator welder. I have the new alternator installed already. It will be stand alone, but run off the same belt. The stock alternator will remain in place and do it's thing. The welder/alternator is a Delco # 421000-0360. It's externally regulated and rated at 160... Read more ..read more

The Search for the Perfect Trail Buggy
RockCrawler Forum

What does it take to build/design/find the perfect trail buggy or vehicle? This is a question that I not only get asked, but also ask myself. I have been wheeling for most of my life, and when I say that, I actually mean it. I got in my first roll over at 2 years old on the Rubicon and I have been hooked ever since. My dad, known affectionately in the industry as Big Rich, appropriately named be Lil' Rich, and I have been tied up in Competition Rock Crawling since the second event ever, Warn...
