Last few days I’ve been camping down this trail hundred yards or so in the picture. Been hearing something just after dark sniffing around. Bacon and eggs mushrooms pretty regularly.

I'm asking if anyone on here knows of anyone that has some private property that is willing to have a ol fart check off his bucket list , to shoot a Michigan black bear ? I believe I am one point short of having the maximum number of points so being drawn isn't a issue.

I might be ahead of schedule, I’m moving the barrel tomorrow to a new site just behind the camp. ( 1921 Bronson Settlement.) check it out. I hope to set up a brand new bait site / feeding site.

How do you guys decide what hunt do you want to put in for? Im seriously considering applying but I still don't know what hunt or BMU I want to put in for? Gotta assume the UP has the most bears? So I would assume my best shot is to apply for a unit up there? But is there anything special about the different hunt dates ..read more

I know its a loaded question, but I'm sitting on 6PP trying to decide if I want to apply for another one or think about pulling the trigger. Ive never bear hunted so its something on the bucket list, and I'm getting antsy! If I did get drawn I would most likely hire a guide. So my question for you all is what should i do wait or apply? The guide says 5-6 points for our BMU and particular hunt. Does that mean we might not get drawn with 5? I couldn't find any %'s for success. I'm guessing 6 would be a guaranteed draw ..read more
