Let me just start by saying this is my first post, been lurking around for awhile gathering as much information as I can. also like to state that I am very new to the carting world especially upgrading them. Some information about my cart 2004 EZGO TXT Series cart (no tow/run switch & F/R behind my legs.) 36V Trojan batteries. Purchased a year ago and the cart has run all the way up until my attempt at a new controller and solenoid. From the start of the swap, I purchased a Navitas TSX 3.0... Read more ..read more

I have replaced my 36 volt Royal Ride batteries a few times. Never had any problems. This time my ignition key doesn’t work. Cart starts without the key in it. I think maybe I put one of the cables in the wrong order? Thanks in advance ..read more

76 Harley Coil Voltage Question
Cartaholics Golf Cart Forum

Hello, all. New to Cartaholics. I bought a 76 Harley three wheel in the fall. It was running and driving when I parked it but it doesn’t fire this year. 12.5 volts from battery to switch, about 10.2 volts at positive side of coil. Should this be enough for a spark at the points, or might there be an issue along the way. I do okay mechanically, but wiring is not my forte. Any advice would be most appreciated, thank you ..read more

Switched the tow switch to tow and could hear motor brake release, switched it back to run and could hear motor brake reapply. Investigation, found one battery terminal loose and very discolored from overheating. This terminal also had a fused power supply to something, fuse was good but wire was almost burnt off. Replaced wire connections and retested. Motor brake was released and cart worked normally. My theory is that although battery bank was normal at 50.7 volts, this bad connection was... Predator Engine Swap Idle Issues

Recently did the Predator engine swap in my 87 Club Car. Also went with the Performance Machine Mikuni Carb upgrade with the manifold and cable. I cannot get the slide to sit all the way down after letting off the gas pedal. I can push it back down with my finger and the idle settles where it should be. I have replaced the cable again thinking I may have gotten a bad one but still the throttle stays open enough that it still wants to move forward or backwards when in gear. I tap the pedal... I converted the wiring harness over, the Precedent was rebuilt and upped to 400 amp. I bought a 400 amp solenoid, wired the trigger wires backward and blew the controller. I bought a 600 amp 87-TSX3-600CCIQX Navitas and installed it, and as soon as I turned the switch on the solenoid clicks, and no response when I pushed the pedal ..read more

How to fix faded plastic trim on Precedent/Tempo
Cartaholics Golf Cart Forum
by Golf Cart Wizard

So anyone who has been dealing with these golf carts knows the black plastic trim likes to turn gray. Most people end up spray painting it with results of various quality and durability. I don’t like painting the trim since paint has a tendency to start peeling and look terrible so I’ve been looking for a better solution. I finally came to the conclusion that in most cases the trim was not actually faded, rather the discoloration was being caused from hard water staining due to golf courses... Read more ..read more
