I have an old DOS game I play every now and again called F1 manager professional. It was released in 1997 by Software 2000.

There's a couple of things I'd like to be able to change on the game to make it a slightly better experience.
1. When at a race you can see your car's going around the track (small track graphic) but no other teams cars. This makes sending cars out in qualifying without encountering traffic very difficult, I'd...

So I've been doing a bit of sorting out of old stuff and come across some old manuals for monitors and the like. Looking on archive.org they don't have some of them. Anybody got any recommendations for the easiest way to capture these so I can preserve them? I'd probably have to use my iPhone to capture the content.
TIA ..read more

I have an Amiga Commodore 1500 unit.
Where would be best to sell. Local to Kingston Upon Thames. It doesn't work. I took the shell off to have a look and it looks in really good nick but I cant see a battery. Possibly removed as they tend to leak if the unit is not in use for some time. Please let me know ..read more

What are your thoughts on the Wii becoming a popular retro console like the PS2, Gamecube, GBA and the DS? I dug mine out of the loft, that I bought in 2014 along with Mario Galaxy (which I never played much - it was mostly used for Mario Party I think it is called when my wife had her friends round).
I've seen the big games are relatively cheap compared to DS and Gamecube, with Zelda Twilight Princess being £8 and Skyward Sword being £12. Mario Galaxy £12.
I never really played on the Wii...

I've been getting into MS DOS although I'm no expert just yet I'm still learning the commands and what things do and how DOS works in general.
I was always a RISC OS BBC Basic person so I never really dabbled much in MS-DOS.
In the early days when I worked for a computer place, the only involvement I had with MS-DOS was installing it so my knowledge with DOS never went beyond that. The good thing about DOS is that I can install it on CF Card as its a light very basic OS and with CF cards I...

I've had the IPS screen to fit to a GBC for a while now, but never got round to it - then recently there was a new wave of AMOLED screens for them... so why not
I didn't take many photos whilst doing this, only of testing the screen
Then the completed Game Boy. New shell, screen, stickers and speaker. I gave the original membranes, buttons and dpads a deep clean and re-used them as the 3rd party ones are a bit.. off...

I was just watching this video about an American guy visiting a couple of UK retro collection places.

One thing that hit me straight away was the amount of computer/console rivalries ie at least 2 or more different machines clashing against each other in the different eras.
Today we have the PC dominating the market with Apple hanging on.
Are we ever going to see a rival to ..read more
