Hi everyone, I’ve recently acquired a GR-10. I’ve managed to find a manual for the commercial equivalent (AR-77), but there are some clear differences with the GR-10. Can anyone share a handbook or schematic with me? Very much appreciated! Cheers ..read more

I now have this Marconi up and running very good. Someone had soldered in two AA batteries for the bias cells, so I replaced them with 1.5 volt watch batteries. I had to rearrange some of the caps as the previous worked did not shorten the leads of the yellow caps and he didn’t put shrink tubing on any of them. I got it all fixed but the alignment was a chore . 1500 came in good , but 600 was really bad. They had screwed down the adjustment pot tight . But now it plays very good. Dan in Calgary ..read more

This is a Marconi model 117 and it is in very very good condition.I just bought it today. It is like new except for the small tear in the grill cloth It is the third one of these I have owned, but I believe I am keeping this one. I did order some eye tubes from the United States and I paid the seller for the shipping. When They arrived I was told that the shipping was $50.00. I told the carrier that I had already paid for shipping. He told me ‘it was customs”, so I refused the shipment. { I don’t want to get political here] I would like to buy some 6E5 eye tubes from someone in Canada, so I don’t have this problem again. I do know that shipping is not cheap, but I need the tubes, so if someone has some for sale please let me know. Thanks Dan in calgary ..read more
