I now have this Marconi up and running very good. Someone had soldered in two AA batteries for the bias cells, so I replaced them with 1.5 volt watch batteries. I had to rearrange some of the caps as the previous worked did not shorten the leads of the yellow caps and he didn’t put shrink tubing on any of them. I got it all fixed but the alignment was a chore . 1500 came in good , but 600 was really bad. They had screwed down the adjustment pot tight . But now it plays very good. Dan in Calgary ..read more

I did order some eye tubes from the United States and I paid the seller for the shipping. When They arrived I was told that the shipping was $50.00. I told the carrier that I had already paid for shipping. He told me ‘it was customs”, so I refused the shipment. { I don’t want to get political here] I would like to buy some 6E5 eye tubes from someone in Canada, so I don’t have this problem again.
