Does anyone have any experience or information on what is considered a reasonable timescale for a repair of a faulty good? I bought a Dell PC for use in my business in February 2024 but it completely died on 7th May. Since then we've had 8th May - On site engineer unable to repair 9th May - On site engineer unable to repair 10th May - On site engineer unable to repair After this 3rd attempt, the engineer handed a call with Dell over to us and we had the choice of an offsite repair (Stated... Recovery of a foreign debt

I have a problem getting a client based in Armenia to pay an outstanding debt that, despite regular reminders, remains unpaid. The sum involved and quality of the work is not in dispute and the debt is more than £10K. The work we have undertaken involves the facilitation of their product access to the EU marketplace. They have paid previously a separate invoice for similar and related work but are refusing to pay the current invoice without grounds other than their eluded to "cash flow"... Read more ..read more

In 2023 Google Play unfairly suspended my app which had previously been fully approved and live for over 4 years, without warning overnight. Now I had proof to support my reasons against the unfair decision, I presented all of these and appealed and nothing came of it, it was rejected with no further clarification given. I did log it all but i dont want to go into detail here (if you do want to know, then you can see my log here) After the appeal was rejected, I was told by them that if I... Read more ..read more

I wonder if anyone can shed any light on this Over the past few months, I have been in contact with my, the Bounce Back Loan lenders. They have informed me that the Bounce Back Loan has now been paid off under the Government Guarantee recently, as the 12-month period has elapsed for collection from the bank. All rules followed for money and what it was originally used for company stock etc. This company had been trading since 2014. Yet objecting still? I’ve written to companies house to... Hello, We are a small business that manufactures furniture. Unfortunately business has been on the decline and we are struggling with cash flow. The thought of liquidation has crossed my mind but that seems like a "scary" route. I've read horror stories of Directors being banned from running companies in the future, debts been personally assigned etc. Here's a brief overview of the debts: BBL £25k - only used legitimately for business use. ULEZ/CAZ/TFL fines resulting from non euro 6 vans... Read more ..read more

Our main shareholder has agreed to sell some of their shares to two members of staff. He owns 80% and has agreed to sell the others 10% each. The company has been valued. We have asked a local solicitor to act on behalf of the company to draw up a simple bog standard sale and purchase agreement ( boiler plate I assume) to facilitate this. Can anyone estimate how much this should cost? I nearly fell over when quoted! SD ..read more

Good morning, I am planning to take on a contractor to do live shows for my company and my question is - how do i make sure that everything is done correctly on my side? I have organised employers liability insurance just so i'm covered in case of any claims. How do i make sure that the contractor carrying out the job is self-employed or has a company? How do i pay the person to make sure that my expense is deductible? Is invoice the best way? What if the person lies and tells that she is... Read more ..read more

Hi everyone I've just informally received an offer from a competitor of my current company, for roughly 30% more salary and what I feel is a much better fit for me culture wise. I work in a marketing tech provider and will be moving to one in the same markets. After excitedly receiving the offer I decided to check for a non compete in my current contract and realised I have restrictive covenants. I work in mid market sales, I only interact daily with prospective customers and have no... Read more ..read more

Hello, I’m working for a company which I get paid weekly for and in the contract it states “All hours on a sixth consecutive day between Monday and Saturday will paid at double the hourly rate” and I am set to work 11 days. I am working Sunday through to the following Wednesday - I know that either the Friday or the Saturday will be double pay but should the 7th, 8th and 9th day which fall between Monday and Saturday be double pay as well?
