Grand Suite - Coastal Kitchen vs MDR

First time going on Suite room - If you’re in a grand suite or above and have access to the happy hour and coastal kitchen - do you only go CK or do you still go to MDR and/or windjammer? Thinking we aren’t going to drink much during the day (lots of port excursion days) so would upgrade to a suite (not JR), not do the Deluxe Drink Package, and then just get drinks for free during the 5-8 happy hour. However, would we then move dining at MDR to 7:15pm so we can take advantage of free drinks from 5-8pm or do you just go CK after happy hour? Would you need to make reservations for CK or just sh ..read more

Anyone else on board and know why we waited for passengers (which they say they never do) for over an hour at Icy Straight Point? I’m convinced someone got hurt or passed away. Cruise lines never wait past gangway time I didn’t think. Anyone else on board or know what happened? Mostly just curious. submitted by /u/AlliCatSTL [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

St Thomas Coral World Excursion through Royal Caribbean - beware- Avoid

We arrived at St Thomas via wonder of the Seas- paid $600 for the coral world excursion. Spoke to Royals Caribbean before booking to ask questions about transport and details… was told this was kids friendly and professional transport would be provided. We booked through royal Caribbean for the ease and to avoid any hiccups as they say they use reputable and professional contractors. The contractor here is Ocean Safari and they run the largest racket and bait and switch on the island. We waited 45 min past the time we were supposed to depart as they did not have enough transportation prepared ..read more

Crown & Anchor Points for Studio Balcony

Hi everyone. I know that as a solo cruiser, I will be paying the single supplement for staterooms that have a minimum of 2 person occupancy. The upside is double points are earned for that cruise. My question is regarding the studio balconies and points. These staterooms are for solo travelers, so would you only earn 1 point per night? Or is it still 2 points like a "regular" stateroom? submitted by /u/melvinmel [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Room decorations?

I'm looking to order a decoration package, but adding it to my cart looks like it charges per person. Do I really have to pay for both occupants to do the decorations? Seems silly to pay twice for that. I can't seem to find any info about this in the sub reddit FAQ or on RC's website. I may just bring my own if I'm required to pay per person! In which case, got any ideas? It's for an anniversary! submitted by /u/FabulousFenglope [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Radiance - Disappointing?

I have been on Freedom and Independence. I loved them both. I was thinking about going on a longer cruise next time since both of those were four nights. I have a couple options here. I can do back to back on Allure or a 7 night on Radiance. How disappointing, realistically, is Radiance? We're mostly in it for little things like game shows and on-board events. submitted by /u/LipstickandRum [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
