Planning our first Alaska 7 day cruise May/June and looking at 2 different cabins. I believe starboard side to see the sunrise? 1. 7181 starboard side extended balcony middle. 2. 7243 starboard side regular balcony middle. Smoking areas are on Deck 3 (starboard side, forward), Deck 9 (starboard side, forward) and Deck 10 (starboard side, forward). Should I forgo the sunrise and book port side to avoid any smoke issues? Should I go with extended balcony ($80.00) more? I know the lifeboats will be 2 decks below our balcony. TY in advance ..read more

hello.  We are looking forward to sailing on Magic soon.  We have typically sailed Fantasy class, with perhaps Conquest a while back.  Can we still just line up to enjoy the comedy show?  Or do we have to make reservations??  Can we still book our excursions once on the ship, or do they fill up more quickly because there are so many more people on board??  Are reservations required for the evening musical shows??  Just trying to prepare.  Thanks in advance ..read more

I just heard that the current Greenland cruise that left on May 26 is once again not making it to Greenland due to ice and wind. Was looking at a cruise on the Vista at the Havana Interior cabins. The offer my sister has, we could do a guarantee cabin for $900 less than if we picked our own cabin. All the Havana cabins are in the back part of the ship, correct? Would there be a bad location that we might get if we went with a guarantee? $900 is a lot of money ..read more

Hello!  We are cruising on the Vista in July, wondering about the drink package.  Not so much if its worth it, but if we get the packeage can we readily get drinks from the various bars onboard, or is it a struggle with lines and under staffing?  If some bars have long waits, is there any specific bars you recommend that are usually less busy?
