Shuttleworth Best of British Airshow 2024 is a year of change for the Shuttleworth Collection’s air display season. It got underway slightly later than usual in mid-May with the Best of British Airshow. Due to exceptional circumstances well beyond of the control of the Abingdon organising committee, the Air & Country Show scheduled for Saturday 18th May has been postponed. The organisers have stated they are looked at possibly holding the event later in the year when the current circumstances are resolved. 2024 sees the return of the Black Cats Helicopter Display Team to the display circuit after several years absence. The team are planning to conduct both duo and solo displays at a number of events around the UK during the summer. The display pilots for 2024 are Lt Scott Sunderland and Lt Michael “Viv” Vivian. In a surprise announcement, the Danish Air Force has announced its major airshow planned for this year at Aalborg has been postponed.  The statement posted via their social media channel reads: “In order to prioritize operational tasks, we have made the decision to postpone the Danish Air Show to 2025.
