Konnichiwa So this April I managed to achieve a lifelong dream and I visited Japan. Whilst I went to 5 parks (plus Tokyo Dome for the +1) I'm going to say something that is possibly sacrilegious on a coaster site: Japan is amazing and the theme parks are not even close to the highlights. Ah, China. The bane of my life, but I can't get enough. It's been two-and-a-half long months since I could visit and they've built and closed a hundred more things I want to try in that time. The plan was to go to Europe around this time, but as no one can open anything in a timely fashion, might as well have another crack. Nothing exciting in terms of travel. Landed in Shanghai. First park: Lagoon Fun park, running the coasters as it should be with all available trains on the track. Best ops IMO in the USA second only to Disney. Sadly some flats were down or in pieces: Enterprise, Top Scan, Waveswinger, the Top Spin thingy. Saying because of "late parts". This week, construction broke ground on a second Majaland indoor park in Poland, this one located close to Warsaw. The project will be in close proximity to a major shopping mall and the full investment is said to be thirty million euros, with a targeted opening in the spring of 2022. Carnival Cruise Line recently announced the addition of 2 new Excellence-Class Cruise Ships, set for delivery in 2027 and 2028! There was a time, possibly just in my rosy-tinted nostalgia for the old days, where parks competed to build big and impressive coasters.
