Hello yesterday we arrived on TK flight from IST and when we arrived at YYZ we taxied to an odd location as I was expecting to taxi to the T1 like before but instead we parked then taken by bus to the T1 for customs and claim our bags. Anyone else had this happen? is this an overflow thing? or is this a new terminal to be used by Intl flights? Air Canada changed the schedule for our flights from IND (Indianapolis)-YYZ-BCN (Barcelona) to a 8:52 layover in Toronto. That's a long time there. Is it reasonable to leave the airport and come back for the flight? If so, does anyone have a recommendation for what we could conceivably do to not be bored out of our minds before an overnight economy flight? I flew Cathay Pacific CX828 HKG to YYZ. Had a connecting flight on Delta to Detroit. Baggage was properly tagged for both flights. After arriving YYZ I cleared immigration and collected my bag no problem. I was following the signs for "Connecting (or Continuing) Flights. Near the exit for baggage claim there was an attendant staffing a belt. He asked if I was connecting and I confirmed. He placed my bag on the belt, scanned it, and away it went. Doing an MR to and from YLW and arrive around 10 AM and leave at 5 PM, so giving about 10 mins to clear security when departing, I have some time to kill. Any quick, easy trails near YLW? I see Paul's Tomb, which, according to Google Maps is a 3 hours' walk from YLW, so there and back is 6 hours. I'll have a light backpack, and am reasonably fit.
