I know it's not birding related but pretty sure there's people here that would be interested. I haven't used it much yet but seems to work pretty well;

Yesterday I came across 2 Swainson's hawks on the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge in utah. I believe one was a dark morph and the other was a light morph. Not an uncommon sighting but pretty cool taking into account how far these hawks migrate each year. It's not letting me upload any pictures, unfortunately ..read more

After 48 years in the midlands of South Carolina (Sumter and Lexington counties), on Monday we'll 'officially' relocate to the southeastern coast of North Carolina (Brunswick). 'Officially' means we've changed our address with the post office; we're updating our address on web sites (17 so far, with at least 5 more to go); and that we're taking the dogs over there to stay.
My parents moved to Brunswick County back in the late '80s, and have lived in multiple homes over the decades. We'd visited them frequently, so we're reasonably familiar with the major towns, roads, and resources ..read more

Photos and/or video taken on day of posting in the Dallas, Tx area.
Awfully dark crest for a Tufted Titmouse, or maybe it's just the light. Any chance it's got any Black-crested genes in it?

Now that’s it’s March 1 I’ve decided to start this thread up! Around here, we won’t see the first Passerine migrants for another 2-3 weeks, but swallows, raptors, and hummingbirds have been underway for a couple weeks now. There’s also lots of birds singing and some starting to nest, while others have already began nesting for a few weeks now!
Hopefully this spring migration is good no matter where you are!  ..read more

I am trying to gauge the attachment limit but I can't compare my use of a third party hosting site to that of others that routinely upload directly to the Whatbird. Truth be told, I can't view others usage stats and that's kind of what I am looking for. Because many of my photos are hosted on Flickr, I only have 319 attachments uploaded using 9% of my total upload limit. I suspect that there are some that run the risk of reaching the upload limit before realizing it, but I have no idea how/if that applies to the average uploader. So, if you don't mind, please click on your name in the to ..read more
