Hi all, I have made a few posts before. As some may know my scores have been borderline despite MONTHS of preparing and my score not budging. I have never understood where the disconnect was but after taking the free120 I got a minimum score and just decided to take my best shot. Unfortunately I was a few points off from the pass. I am disappointed in myself and angry. I had put in soooo much work. At this point I feel like maybe I just don’t have the brain capability, or it’s some inherent flaw in myself. I’m an IMG and I appeared for Step 1 back in November 2017. After finding out my score, I decided to abandon my plans to pursue US and moved to UK. I’m now planning to appear for Step 2 CK this year. I basically have 2 queries:
Can someone clarify what would be the last date to appear for the exam before my Step 1 validity expires? My score report date was in the first week of December 2017.
My certification of Identification Form has expired in 2022. Would I need to get a new form? If yes, what would be the process?

For USMLE Step 1, focusing on high-yield topics is key. These include physiology (cardiovascular, renal, respiratory), biochemistry (metabolism, molecular biology), pathology (especially systemic), pharmacology (drug mechanisms, side effects), and microbiology (common pathogens). Also, don't overlook anatomy (neuroanatomy, embryology) and immunology basics. Mastering these areas will set a solid foundation for the exam."
