Renovation.
I was unable to rest or sleep properly at home for the whole month of May due to noise from hacking and drilling from renovation work in my area. I have fallen sick twice during the month.
I also have to face unexpected additional expenses from new installations and new paint work at home because my family wanted it.
Work
My company has lost the contract to my work place due to expensive quotation. I will be leaving this nice and comfortable place in June. I have settled down and worked here for 17 months and I have to leave this place soon, it feels like losing a job. It is not du ..read more

Even though my first message in this thread included some criticism of the moderators, I appreciate the people who run this website and their work. I don’t want to focus on the negative side anymore.
I created this thread to declare my fight against gambling, and I believe this step is already significant progress that should be appreciated. When I shared I did this and I do that with my new group this month. Even when I was sharing about doing the right thing.
I get a very strong feelings of remorse, guilt, shame and pain later; I felt like a hypocrite after recalling the sinful things that I had done.
I feel very unworthy and ashamed to face these brothers and sisters.
Did I regret sharing in the house of the Lord? Yes, I felt like a liar showing off.
I have never felt like this in other support groups elsewhere.

First off, I’m disappointed with the work of the moderators here. On my first gamble-free day, I wrote a long post about my story that didn’t contain any explicit content or anything that could possibly be offensive, but it was deleted. Today is day 15. Let’s move ahead ..read more

Good morning,
I hope everyone is doing well.
I’m just checking in.
I have chosen to give myself a pat on the back at the end of each gamble free day, so much easier than waiting for the next 30/60/90 day milestones.
One day at a time ..read more

Hi everyone,
I am conducting a survey as part of my thesis exploring the causes of gambling problems, and the ways people describe themselves when they are experiencing hardship due to gambling.
I would greatly appreciate anyone who would like to contribute by completing my survey. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete, and all responses are entirely anonymous.
