The San Diego Padres still have one of the best farm systems in all of baseball.
Even after the trades for Luis Arraez and Dylan Lesko, in which the Padres offloaded players like Drew Thorpe, Dillon Head, Nathan Martorella, Samuel Zavala, Jakob Marsee, and Jairo Iriarte, the team still boasts one of the best units around. That is astonishing, as all six men listed before were considered top-30 prospects.
The Padres deserve credit for constantly re-stocking the farm with talent.
During the first month of play there were standouts in each affiliate. Below is a list of ..read more

In response to the roster moves, San Diego recalled Randy Vásquez from El Paso, and Padres skipper Mike Shildt gave the right-hander the start in place of Musgrove. For Royals manager Matt Quatraro and Kansas City, Alec Marsh got the nod ..read more

The Padres made the trip to Kansas City for the first time in two seasons. A familiar face took the mound for the Royals in Michael Wacha. He faced the Padres for the first time since he departed San Diego after a solid 2023 campaign with the Friars, posting a 3.22 ERA in 134 innings.
The Padres countered with an arm familiar with AL Central ballparks in Dylan Cease. He came into Friday’s start with a 4.68 ERA in nine career starts at Kauffman Stadium. Those struggles would come to rear its ugly head late in ..read more

It was the Padres chance at their first sweep of the season to finish off the homestand.
The sweep and a chance at a four-game winning streak would not be for the San Diego Padres.
Padres starter Yu Darvish labored across a short start against the Marlins, going only three i,nnings allowing three runs (two earned).
The Padres bullpen did not fare much better, allowing six runs across the remainder of the game.
