Today I picked up a new Beretta 92GTS and a Ruger AR556. The Ruger is used but only had about 100 rounds fired in the 10 years he owned it. (Normally wouldn’t believe this but it’s a close family member that didn’t want it anymore)
I already had a Taurus PT92 so pretty comfortable with that style but don’t know a thing about AR-15s. Luckily, my buddy was a Marine sharpshooter and has several AR-15s, so he’s going to help me learn the field strip, how to properly clean, etc.
Any tips or suggestions?

Finished my project—very happy with the results! I removed the lock and added a plug, Cylinder & Slide fixed rear sight, contoured front sight, classic Pachmayr presentation grips, changed rebound spring, and cleaned up the internals.

Hi everyone. I currently carry a43x regularly. I switch it up with a vp9 here and there. Sometimes I feel like a Glock 26 or my 27. Outside of Glock what would be a good alternative to the 43x. I’m not a fan of the super slim frame

I’ve shot many different types of pistols before, those owned by friends or my father, but I’m ready to buy one of my own and I’m torn between a Walther PDP or a S&W m2.0
I am 5’11(m) with not the biggest hands, for reference I very much dislike a glock 19’s wide grip. I want a full size frame that is still mildly concealable while also offering some decent range and accuracy. From what I’ve gathered these are 2 options that would do that job, have good track records, and are also visually appealing to me.
Any suggestions/comments would be appreciated.

For context, i’m a 5’11” Male, 150lbs. looking to get an every day carry, and i want to carry appendix. I’m torn between the G43x and the G19. (i’ve held both of them in comparison at a gun store) As someone of my build, i think the 43x will certainly be better to conceal, however I am not a huge fan on how it looks. It’s tiny, looks short and kinda feels like a toy. I like the 19 because it looks like an actual glock, I like the length and size, but the 43x would maybe be more practical. Any input would be appreciated

Hi! I'm not very knowledgeable on gun types and mechanics, but I have shot my fair share and learned gun safety. I am living on my own and possibly moving far from my family, so for protection I am looking at getting a handgun for my home until I am old enough to conceal carry. Does anyone have recommendations for good smaller handguns on the less expensive side? I would love to save up for a PDP but I am looking more in the $250-$450 range, if that is even possible. Thank you!
Edit: I've said it a million times but thank you so so much for the info! I had some scary experiences that rushed m ..read more

Trying to make a decision on a handgun purchase. Not concerned with capacity (live in a 10-rd state). Will be used for CCW//home defense//camping&hiking. Not too concerned with aftermarket support, mostly want to hear about the shootability, reliability, and opinions on grip length.

I know this sounds like a joke but it is a real question, I do this all the time when shooting outdoors because it is good fun. One time I was at an indoor range and noticed the RSO wasn't paying much attention so I emptied a couple mags akimbo style. Could I get myself thrown out of a gun range for doing this? Don't pull the holier than thou card, we have all thought about it.
