I have a 1931-ish PPK SN 7609XX. It's a 7.65mm with a 90-degree safety. I load and unload the firearm with Fiocchi .32ACP 73 gr. FMJ nearly every day, and it shoots like a dream, with no FTFs, no FTEs, or any other problems...until today. Thank God no one was hurt... I customarily pull the slide back to chamber a round with the safety OFF because otherwise the decocker causes the hammer to decock when the slide comed forward, and I've been advised that the safety is a fragile part of... I purchased a used Interarms PPK/S that has a moderate wear but in relatively good condition. Upon shooting it I quickly found out the decocker is faulty and will cause an AD approx once every mag or so, sometimes multiple times in a row, other times a couple mags with no issues. I know some S&W models had this issue, but didn't know Interarms did as well. Ive done a detail strip of both the frame and slide and there doesnt seem to be anything glaring, but I'm no gunsmith. Some years ago I was gifted a Walther PP 7.62mm pistol. It is in the original box, with a cleaning rod, target sheet, and "owners manual". Gun does not appear to have been fired except for the test target. I called Walther and the fellow I spoke to said that he checked with some of the other workers, and they think the gun is preWW2 German. Hi! I have a Walther PP 7.65mm and for the life of me, I can't figure out its story with it's markings and proof marks. I have several questions, but here is the big one... The slide has a serial # 336595 with no letters (1965?) but no serial # on the frame. It has the standard Walther marking on the left hand of the slide it says, Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella Mehlis (Thur.), Walther's Patent Cal. 7.65 m/m. (pre 1945 if my understanding is correct).
