All of the minor instruments (ie, fuel, oil pressure, temp gauges) on my s3 GTI have failed. The either read zero (ie, same as when the ignition is off) or sometimes all read about 1/3 of where they should be. I don't know whether it is a coincidence or connected, but the 'Stop' warning light also constantly glows on dimly. No other warning lights are on. I imagine this also applies to XMs with the ES9 J4 donk. During the week I needed to bleed the LHM system after cleaning the filters in the reservoir and replacing the split connector on the suction line for the pump. Accessing and turning the bleed screw on the regulator would have to rank up there as one of the most painful jobs on a Xantia.
