Due to the solar eclipse happening on Monday, the Yankees have decided to push the start of the game to 6:05 p.m. against the Miami Marlins. Originally slated to start at 2:05 p.m., the solar eclipse is set to take place around 2:11 p.m. and 4:35 p.m. in New York. The eclipse can be viewed at 80-85% around 3.25 p.m., according to several different news outlets.
The Yankees will let fans into the stadium at 3:00 p.m. and the first 15,000 will receive solar eclipse glasses. New York is getting quite the jolt, with a 4.5 earthquake taking place last Friday and literally sending shockwaves there ..read more

Mark your calendars for April 14th as the Mets will be retiring Dwight “Dr. K” Gooden’s number 16. Back in the 80’s, Gooden took the Mets by storm with his blazing pitching and tenacity for the game. Well deserved. Congratulations Doc.
