Out of Band 7 and Band 20, Band 20 will have more coverage. This is because Band 20 operates at a lower frequency (800 MHz) compared to Band 7 (2600 MHz). Lower frequencies travel longer distances and penetrate buildings better than higher frequencies.
Here’s a breakdown:
Band 20 (800 MHz): Better coverage, especially in rural areas and inside buildings. However, it may offer slightly slower data speeds compared to Band 7.
Band 7 (2600 MHz): Faster data speeds, but with shorter range and weaker penetration through walls and buildings. This band is typically better suited for dense urban areas ..read more

I am curious about the breakdown of RAN components and their deployments. I am unable to find the ratios of RUs to DUs for a commercial deployment. I just want to know generic estimates which are good to use for practical purposes.
I see that some places mention the ratio to be 1 DU for 1 RU while some places mention the ratio to be 1 DU for ~10 RUs and some mention 1 DU for ~100 RUs.
Can someone share more information on which of these is more practical? And in which scenario ..read more
