My V8 committed suicide a few months ago so I figured that would be the excuse to do an engine swap! I've got a rebuilt 300 TDI, a 380 from Ashcroft, and a rebuilt transfew case going in. 2004 D2 driver window seams to go down too far. At the bottom you can hear the motor still turning, but it's hopping on the toothed lever of the window mechanism. You have to really mess with it to get it to come back up. Can this be fixed? Or does the window mechanism have to be replaced? I bought the 1999 D2 listed here for my kid and I'm getting it prepped for her to drive. It has an issue where the steering is a little tight to return to center. You don't really notice it until you're going hightway-ish speeds. The seller had it checked out and was told the steering shaft needed to be replaced. Hi, new member here. I have an 04 discovery 2 with I believe a windshield leak at the headliner. I have purchased a new rubber upper windshield finisher and the corner moldings as well. Hi all, I have had a (new) problem with my LR3 V8 for a few weeks. The idle speed has always risen to well over 1000 rpm after starting. For some time now, however, this value has been at 3000 rpm, sometimes even higher. Otherwise, the Disco behaves normally, and the IIDTool cannot detect any errors in the engine control.
