Hi Im selling my 2011 Nissan Leaf with solar powered supplemental battery system. Would be good for an off grid situation, because it can be charged entirely off its own solar panels. The car has 5 total solar panels that combined total 600watts. The power goes to a big battery and inverter system in the trunk, that allows you to charge the car off the 7064 watt hour 12v batteries in the trunk. The details are listed here, but there is also a YouTube channel dedicated to the build of this car, where you can find much more info. The channel is (Innovative sustainable solutions) https://www ..read more

I am 2yrs past my solar deep dive and apparently didn’t retain much knowledge.. could my 24ft pull behind benefit from something this size? I’m gathering items and knowledge in hopes of reducing my cost of living on one sunny day down the road.. taking baby steps where I can.

I already received several quotes and estimates but its very overwelming in terms of what to expect. I just bought my house and i'm worried if they might damage it? is that a valid concern? What should I should I consider? Price or service more? only did about 2 weeks of research... help! lol

For the last 3 hours, I have been trying to figure out whether I should use Em or Hm or both in my written description of a system of photovoltaic glass.
I am confused....
I get that Em is average monthly electricity produced from the given system (in kWh) and Hm is the average sum of global irradiation per m2 received by the modules of the given system (in kWh/m2).
I keep thinking that the solar radiation available to the PV glass would result in an amount of kWh greater than what has been calculated for the Em.
Nos.:
m2 for PV glass modules = 1831.01
Em = 18,854.48 kWh
Hm = 66.44 kWh/m2
