God intervened and what I got instead was an education in a small rural state college. That degree in Art Education led me to several other careers outside of art to now in retirement returning to teaching art in a private Christian school.
Many people say that art institutes are produc ..read more

My personal favorites are Time Bandits and The Adventures of Baron Munchhausen.
Gilliam's creations are among other things a unique mix of absurdity and tragedy. His sources for inspiration no doubt are many.
In this clip, Terry Gilliam discusses the inspiration he found in Bronzino's painting "Venus, Cupid, Folly and Time"

I grew up listening to the wonderful music and compositions of Jeff Lynne and the Electric Light Orchestra.
For all those years many band members came and went and some died.
But throughout that time Richard Tandy remained.
Now Richard is with Jesus.
As we acknowledge his passing let us also be reminded that our time is short and not waste it on the things of this world!
ELO keyboardist Richard Tandy dies at the age of 76

Origins of BC and AD (& Dionysius Exiguus)
Biblical Views: The Turn of the Christian Era: The Tale of Dionysius Exiguus
"We are all familiar with the terms B.C. (Before Christ) and A.D. (Anno Domini—in the year of our Lord) as a way of distinguishing the eras before and after the coming of Jesus Christ. We may also be familiar with the non-Christian terminology of B.C.E. (Before the Common Era) and C.E. (the Common Era). What those two ways of referring to the same thing share in common is that they presume the same calendar—by which I mean they presume the same way of dating Jesus’ birt ..read more
