Hi all, I'm a relatively new beard grower. Many of my individual hairs stick straight out from my face. Some do angle towards the skin, but many do not. Should I just trim these straight pieces or leave them sticking out ..read more

Hi everyone,
I started growing my beard in 2017, but to date have really concentrated on my moustache, so on the whole I have had a short/medium beard (10mm to 15mm) with a much heavier moustache which varied between handlebar/imperial/English/Hungarian (depending on your definition and my mood).
I recently decided to allow my beard to grow and it is currently around 22mm. My intention is to aim for perhaps 35mm-40mm on the chin, unless I get bored before then. I've kept the moustache...

I'm looking for a beard balm, and I suppose I should also get a beard butter for night time. I'm between the following:
WesWy
Beard Octane
Weatherbeard
Johnnie Ray

While I tended to shave a couple or three times a week, I often let my facial hair grow out, sometimes more sometimes less, usually over the Christmas/New Year holiday. This has been the first time I've let it go to a full beard. It's been growing since about the middle of December (so 2 months at this point) and I'm not sure how long I'll let it go. It makes me look like Orson Welles, though considerably less rotund. I go hot or cold...

I have had a beard on-and-off for 20 years. Now, on again in the cold of NYC.
Waaaaay back, aisles (nor online) was filled with fancy "Beard Oil" products. You had a bear = you had a beard. SMartest was, of course, to was under the beard so nothing caught up on you in terms of rashes. Other than that, why use oil?
Then I saw Beard Oil, for years. Never bought one. FINALLY, I bought Zeus brand "Refined Beard Oil" for $25 (first beard oil ever purchased here), which (after getting past the...
