Hi, 2018 Macan Base owner here. This week I went to put both back seats in the upright position and neither would latch. Seriously, both seat mechanisms broke a the same time???? Anyone else have this issue? Car only has 34k on it too. Not that this would be mileage related but doesn't seem like something that should break with such little use, let alone both sides breaking at the same exact time. Ugh ..read more

Hello to the 6SpeedOnline Porsche community! Some of you who have owned Audi will recognize Europrice as a European and specialty parts source that's been around for the last 20 years. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Europrice has been around quite a long time and started as a small enthusiast owned business in 2002. Around 7 years ago Europrice started working with CETE Automotive who specializes in air suspension and exhaust valve controllers for tons of makes/models worldwide. Four years ago CETE entrusted Europrice with North American distribution of their entire product line and now ..read more

Hello,
I just picked up a 2017 Turbo!!! Less exciting is it came from Copart, salvage title and it just had an accident where something was pulled up into the wheel well and the ensuing melee sheared the upright and strut in half, the lower rear control arm blew its ball joint and the CV shaft broke at the inner joint.
In all, it looks to be a straight forward repair. Minimal body work was involved. The concerning part is this passenger side front output flange. There is quite noticeable axial play there. Any chance this is normal? Unlikely so the real question is am I able to remove this fl ..read more

I just test drove a 2021 Macan GTS and I was disappointed with the exhaust note. I went in knowing the engine sound wasn't as deep as the previous generation. I barely heard any pops and crackles even with the tailpipes button on and in sport plus. Maybe there was an option that this car was missing ..read more

hi Guys,
Ive never had a porsche - total noob in the technicals of this car.
I have a nice looking macan 2016 to buy, with 3.0 diesel.
- is this construction & engine setup ok?
- what most problems are if there are any with this car? any standard faults/defects?
- is this 3.0 diesel ok from performance for such car as macan?
- what crossreference parts it has - what brands/models? to not pay porsche tax?
- maintenance costs are high? or rather average car like audi a6 or mercedes e-class???
I am sorry for potential lame questions but you are the only who can help me I hope.

Might have to flip one to make a decision. Currently in a 2017 S and love it. Has been and still is a great ride. We're considering getting a 2023. Is there a big difference physically between the 2017 and 2023 if you are familiar with both.
We are keeping the 2017 (49,500m) and adding either a:
NX 350 Luxury
GLA or B 35AMG
Macan S... (maybe a GTS if I can hoodwink my wife...both are HerMac's)
Thanks for all feedback comments ..read more

Hi all,
I took my 2018 Macan GTS in for a 40k service and the dealer said I have a timing belt cover leak (which I heard is a known issue) on these cars. They said it's coded yellow meaning there is wet spots but there are no droplets forming therefore it's not going to be repaired under the warranty. I have the CPO but if it's a known issue, it's gonna leak and they just want to not pay for it in hopes I'll be out of warranty when it's so bad it's dripping on the alternator and my car fails on the side of the road?! This sounds like BS to me and Porsche should be fixing these under warranty ..read more

I have a gal of G-40-91 EF that has been sitting since 2018. I bought it to top off if needed. It was for our 2017 MacS. I used a few ounces. My neighbor has a 2022 base Macan. Does that use G-40 (pink) or a newer type. I'd like to give them the container of G-40 if it's suitable for the 2022. Thank you ..read more
