I have been playing for about 6 months and this was the first song I learned. I can play the song in its entirety as well as a cover band would, but it doesn’t sound like Jim James and I no matter how many videos I watch in slow motion, or go listen to multiple live versions, I just can’t get it. I would love help. Main Rythm It starts with an F. But I can’t tell how it’s played… it isn’t picked, but it isn’t strummed. So I've picked up bits and pieces of Crazy Train on the Guitar over the years. But I can't get that first sound the main guitar makes before the pic-sliding up the neck. It sounds like a train whistle, but I think it's 2 notes. Now, he could be turning the volume down, playing the notes, then turning the volume back up before the sound fades.
