After seeing three different TM GloFish hybridize with other breeds/subspecies, it made me wonder if, true, fluorescent hybrids exist outside of their species. I’ve seen GloFish hybrids in the form of Dumbo HMPK Galaxy Koi Plakat Betta, Leopard Danio, and Black Skirt Tetra. Hi! I’m new to the whole having a pet fish thing and got my first betta a couple months ago. I’m curious (because I’ve heard different answers), if I should have snails with my betta fish. I was told when buying the snails that two mystery snails would be fine in a 3 gallon tank with my betta. However, I’ve been continuing research and it sounds like I may be overcrowding my tank. My Betta has stopped swimming and just lays at the bottom of his tank. I had severely over-fed him because I went by the instructions on the betta food container. I also didn’t consider that just cleaning/ronsing the rocks in his tank was cleaning them enough for all that food/waste that was in there.
