So my Doberman had both standing ears for a good amount of time after his postings sessions were done, but one day at around him being 11 months he got an ear infection which caused his left ear to drop down, we went on to continue posting his ears and it went right back up, but after a few hours we’ll catch him with his ear back down and he doesn’t pick it up, at times he will while we walk but now it has become rare to see both stand on their own, he’s a year and 6 months and we’ve been...

Zakk is now ten and a half months old and we have had him since he was eight weeks. He's great in the house, obedient, well-trained etc. Since the day we got him, we have been trying to train him to walk without pulling and he was pretty good for the first couple of months. For the last six months though, he has been getting worse and worse, to the point now where it is getting dangerous to walk him in public.
I know there will be loads of posts about this, but I don't want to just get...

I'm not big on applying chemicals to my dog or feeding pesticides to her. Since moving out on land I decided to look around at all my options for treating the property with little to no chemicals.I think I found a winner. I really like it for several reasons.
1. Harmless to us and Rumor
2. VERY inexpensive
3. It works on the bad bugs in my garden.
I have no doubt there more benefits that i just can't think of right now.
We currently have 45 acres (for now ) so it can get a bit...

Yesterday we went to a quiet place on the Gila river where my friend with the GSDs lives. Asha has never felt "no bottom" to water. She was happy to fetch sticks on the water, but once she realized some places dropped off to "no bottom", she avoided those places. She did a great job swimming when she did hit those places but a couple of times turned around rather than going further to get the stick. Just some getting use to I think. You can teach an old dog new tricks, just takes a...

Surprise!
Ok, I know I told a few of you that Buddy was going to be our last Doberman. I thought so too. He was a great dog! I loved him so much! Having him for 13 years felt like such a blessing. I really thought that I was going to walk away feeling blessed that we had a great dog for so long and not wanting to take a chance on another.
But four years later, I am still mourning his loss.
Just like so many of you, Dobermans are our heartbreed. Here...
