I just found out that I need a new transmission for my 2013 Nissan Versa. I'm not sure if I should put the money into it or if I should just junk the car. 2010 Versa S, 209k mostly highway miles; one year-old battery, bought it from original owner on Monday; everything mechanical was fine; passed MO emissions and safety inspections. I have a 2014 Versa S. What is the correct fluid for the manual transmission? The manual states to use Genuine Nissan HQ Multi 75W-85 and people say you want GL-4. There's a couple different part #'s I've found. 999MP-MTF00NP and 999MP-MTF00P, not sure what the difference is. I bought it on z1motorsports.com (can't link in my first post). But the bottle looks a little different. it doesn't say HQ Multi or GL-4. Almost looks like a knockoff. And the back says automatic transmission fluid. Wtf ..read more

Found the main issue to be a leaking transmission fluid hose to the radiator. Fixed leak added fluid to appropriate level and now she runs perfect ..read more
